Chris has been competing in triathlon since 2005. He has competed in all triathlon distances, including 4x Ironman and 8x 70.3 Ironman. In 2022, he qualified and competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships for the first time. Chris is currently focused on the 70.3 distance and, in 2023, will compete at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside, Oregon, Finland World Championships, and Arizona.

I’ve been doing Triathlons since March of 2022. I started with a Sprint, then an Olympic, and then a 70.3. I was so excited to start this project because my dream is to connect with athletes from all over the county, country and honestly the world! I love encouraging people to do a Triathlon because it seems so out of reach but I quickly learned that through community the hard stuff becomes easier. I know that meeting Su-Jen and Chris about 16 months ago is the reason I’m doing Triathlons. So, to me, OCE is the opportunity to make new training partners in the local area, push each other to show up, grow, and make Triathlon a sport for everyone! All while giving back to Orange County for the beautiful resources it provides to us!

I met Chris and Steven through different clubs and have been so incredibly lucky to have them as my training partners. Basically I want this community to be a place where triathletes from different clubs, cities, and levels can network with others. Hopefully, helping people find some new training partners and/or friends in our new growing community
